Oh Crap!

I don't think we expected to be on the blog as examples of the crappy day guy, but it may happen more than we expected....

So yesterday, Wednesday, our bar day, Happy Hour Day, we went to the bar. We had invited a friend, but we usually just go on in, and order a beer, and wait on our friends.
But yesterday when we drove up, there were no cars in the parking lot, and we were like "It's closed!?!?!?!"

So I had Brian park and I got out to take a look at the door - something has to be up!

THERE'S a FOR SALE sign on the door of our bar!!! Below that, the management thanked all their patrons for being loyal and faithful. And on the other side of the door there's a LOCKOUT NOTICE, dated Monday.

So we had to wait for our friend to show up so we could decide what to do - and while we waited, we watched the entire Wednesday crowd drive up, read the signs, sag their shoulders and walk back to their cars, and drive away.

People - this was AWEFUL!

Pics of our really sad, empty bar coming soon.... Goodbye Luke's

It all started out...

Last Wednesday, Brian and I saw someone having the worst day EVER! So picture this: we are on our way from work to Quizno's (most yummy favorite lunch spot EVER!), driving down Macarthur Blvd, and then we turn the corner by Steinmart, to get into the parking lot and BEHOLD! Dude was driving his truck along, bed stocked full of these beautiful tiles - they were terracotta colored and had great designs on them - just beautiful, except, most of them were splayed out all over the road. Guy was exiting his vehicle to assess the damage. Then as we pass by him he gets out his cell phone, likely either calling his wife, or the boss to tell them what happened.

Brian and I see things like this all the time, and wonder - what's he gonna do for the rest of the day? And then mostly we just feel sorry for them. Unfortunately for you, we missed taking the picture of our first ever Crappy Day Guy... but we will soon have lots of candidates for next week's crappy day guy, and we'll let you know what happened.

Stay safe, and try not to find yourself on our blog.

Love,

us
