So here we are again on our own crappy blog telling about acrappy day, except it wasn't.
Well, I bought B and I tickets to the Cowboys v. Vikings game. It was a preseason game, so I mean, it wasn't the biggest deal ever, but to us it was. We had never been to Texas stadium before (except for the open practice that Coach Wade held the week before our game, but I had no idea about that before I purchased our tickets to the game, even though I still would have) and neither of us had ever watched a Pro football game in real life before, and it's the Awesomest Team Ever!
So, B checked the cowboys website, and by checked the website, I mean he constantly looks at the Cowboys website, and found that parking was $20, which was awesome, because I had $27 in my wallet. So we got off work, changed into our Cowboy fan clothes (in the bathroom at work) and pretty much zipped through traffic to find that the parking now costs $30. You could even see on their signs how they had used magic marker to change the 2 into a 3. So, all flustered and really wanting to make it back quickly, we did a u-turn and fought the game traffic back a few streets so that we could find an ATM machine. Well, so I stopped at agas station and B hurried in. He comes back out without any cash... to tell me that the ATM machine was broken. No worries, I spied a Bank of America across the street.
Score, now we have the cash in hand! But now we have to fight the game traffic again. But we finally make it back, get a parking tag, find a place, and bam! We are about to see REAL LIVE COWBOYS playing REAL LIVE FOOTBALL! But wait, first we have to walk like a mile from the parking to the stadium. I had no idea that would happen, really, no idea. So I was wearing my flippyest flipflops.
So camera in tow, and good mood never to be altered, I start struggling through this cross country walk, because B looks like a kid on Christmas morning. When we are just about to cross the bridge over 114 I snapped a couple pics of B because the shots encompassed him and Texas stadium. How cool is that?
Once I put the camera away B gave me my ticket and we had to separate, because boys get patted down in a different line than the one girls get patted down in. So I got the pat down and the lady looked in my purse, felt the weight of my purse, and said, you have video camera. Uhm, yeah, it's a video/still combo. So, I got turned around at the gate, and I couldn't see B anymore. After moments, and realizing I hadn't gotten in, he came back through to get me. We walked the entire mile back to the car, put the camera up, and our cells so that we couldn't get stopped with those, walked the entire mile back to the stadium and finally sat down at about 3 minutes into the second quarter.
And the rest is un-recorded history. We won the game and loved every moment of it. And it was totally worth it that our muscles ached for the next 3 days. But we only have two pictures of the day, and in one Brian is being silly because he wanted me to stop taking pictures so I could hurry up and walk.

Oh Crap!
I don't think we expected to be on the blog as examples of the crappy day guy, but it may happen more than we expected....
So yesterday, Wednesday, our bar day, Happy Hour Day, we went to the bar. We had invited a friend, but we usually just go on in, and order a beer, and wait on our friends.
But yesterday when we drove up, there were no cars in the parking lot, and we were like "It's closed!?!?!?!"
So I had Brian park and I got out to take a look at the door - something has to be up!
THERE'S a FOR SALE sign on the door of our bar!!! Below that, the management thanked all their patrons for being loyal and faithful. And on the other side of the door there's a LOCKOUT NOTICE, dated Monday.
So we had to wait for our friend to show up so we could decide what to do - and while we waited, we watched the entire Wednesday crowd drive up, read the signs, sag their shoulders and walk back to their cars, and drive away.
People - this was AWEFUL!
Pics of our really sad, empty bar coming soon.... Goodbye Luke's

It all started out...
Last Wednesday, Brian and I saw someone having the worst day EVER! So picture this: we are on our way from work to Quizno's (most yummy favorite lunch spot EVER!), driving down Macarthur Blvd, and then we turn the corner by Steinmart, to get into the parking lot and BEHOLD! Dude was driving his truck along, bed stocked full of these beautiful tiles - they were terracotta colored and had great designs on them - just beautiful, except, most of them were splayed out all over the road. Guy was exiting his vehicle to assess the damage. Then as we pass by him he gets out his cell phone, likely either calling his wife, or the boss to tell them what happened.
Brian and I see things like this all the time, and wonder - what's he gonna do for the rest of the day? And then mostly we just feel sorry for them. Unfortunately for you, we missed taking the picture of our first ever Crappy Day Guy... but we will soon have lots of candidates for next week's crappy day guy, and we'll let you know what happened.
Stay safe, and try not to find yourself on our blog.
Love,
us
